Summary:The Administrative Assistant Word Processor is responsible for word processing, document management and production, telephone support, and general office support. Occasional overtime may be required. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Document production and editing utilizing Microsoft Office 2010 (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Microsoft Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and similar software. Create and revise complex documents adhering to BME styles and guidelines. Be the office expert in document preparation Data-entry using Excel and gINT software Monitor supply of tabs and create new tabs as required for upcoming production jobs Copy and assemble documents Operate and troubleshoot printers/copy machines, including changing toner, adding paper, and assisting with clearing jams and providing assistance to others as needed Assist administrative and professional staff as needed Other duties as assigned.Required Skills: Minimum typing speed of 55 wpm Attentive to detail with a good knowledge of spelling, grammar, punctuation and proofreading skills Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Word. Experienced working with templates, sections, styles, table of contents fields and revision tracking. Basic knowledge of Excel including formatting, sorting, and simple formulas Ability to use PowerPoint to create and modify slides Desired Skills: Basic knowledge of Acrobat Working knowledge of gINTSee above notes
